Pepsi Knoxville

Project Description

New low / critically charged ammonia to glycol system to serve three bottling lines for Pepsi. The refrigeration system included less than 1 lb of refrigerant per ton. The engine room, which housed the compressors, vessels, heat exchangers, and switch gear were manufactured off-site and set in place with a pre-assembled condenser stand to minimize time on site. Glycol was fed to tanks that was then pumped to the Carbo-Coolers in the bottling lines. The specifications called for no more than a +/- 1 degree temperature variation to ensure the proper carbinization in the product.
