Project Description

Kicking off in October 2017, Facebook’s Henrico Data Center campus is a 130-acre site development that is currently being delivered in multiple phases at White Oak Technology Park located in Sandston, VA. The project consists of five total buildings that are being constructed in an H configuration. The campus, which includes challenging site logistics and the protection of wetlands, is anticipated to be completed in late 2023. The entire development is being designed and constructed to achieve LEED® BD+C Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Project Highlights
• ColonialWebb was a part of an Extensive Design Assist process before the project began in order to ensure a smooth construction process that would adhere to the project schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• The top floor of each building is a “built-up” Air Handling Unit that provides the conditioned air for the facility.
• Over 30M CFM of Airflow as part of the mechanical system once all buildings are built out.
• Over 1.2M manhours will be worked by ColonialWebb employees during the construction of these facilities.
• 1,500 construction workers on site per day at peak.
• The Facebook Henrico Data Center is supported by 100% renewable energy.
