QTS Richmond is the largest and most connected data center in the area. With access to 21+ network providers and MAREA & BUSA subsea cables terminating at this facility, it is the predominant interconnection hub in the region – enabling new, efficient, and less congested routes across the globe. ColonialWebb proudly renovated the old semiconductor manufacturing facility into a data center for QTS. The project entailed renovating a three-story, 369K SF building to become a state-of-the-art data center facility capable of housing up to 51 MW of Data Storage Capacity. ColonialWebb was selected as an early-stage design-assist partner to help facilitate the timely completion of this fast-track mission-critical renovation/conversion project.
