Mid-Atlantic Distribution Center

Project Description

In collaboration with Brinkmann Constructors, ColonialWebb completed a Tenant Improvement project for Trader Joe’s facility. The project involved transforming parts of the building into cold storage and food processing areas. Despite the challenging schedule and long lead times, the project was completed on schedule.

The facility features four different temperature zones, ranging from -20°F to +65°F. Cold storage areas preserve product freshness, while food production spaces facilitate repackaging activities. Key components include ColonialWebb’s central ammonia system and the Refrigerated Make-up Air Unit (RMAU), which ensure a controlled environment and reliable refrigeration performance.

The project was a huge success for all parties involved.

“We have had a great experience with ColonialWebb at our cold storage project. Great job delivering high quality work on a very tough schedule. We would welcome another opportunity to work with ColonialWebb on future projects.”

-Chuck McCarthy, Project Director, Brinkmann Constructors
