- In 1972, two companies – Colonial Mechanical and Webb Technologies – with similar operating philosophies and a single dream opened their doors to the public.
- In 1999, Webb Technologies and Colonial Mechanical became subsidiaries of First Energy Corporation, the fourth largest power company in the United States.
- In 2003, the Webb family bought back both Webb Technologies and Colonial Mechanical.
- In 2005, the two divisions formally merged – creating ColonialWebb Contractors.
- In 2010, ColonialWebb was purchased by Comfort Systems USA joining one of the nation’s largest mechanical contractors.
