The ABC National Safety Gold Level Award for 2009

Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. presented ColonialWebb Contractors with the Safety Training and Evaluation Process Step Gold Level Award in recognition of the company’s achievement and its ongoing efforts in the development of a quality Safety program for 2009.

The Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP )was established in 1989 by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety Committee to assist ABC member contractors in evaluating and improving corporate safety practices and recognize outstanding safety training efforts.  STEP awards are presented annually in four categories: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.  Each year, over 2,000 contractors of various sizes participate in the STEP program.

The Anheuser-Busch “Alabaster Eagle Safety Award” for 2004

In 2004, Anheuser-Busch Companies gave ColonialWebb its coveted “Alabaster Eagle Safety Award” to recognize 40,355 incident-free man-hours while working on its Kingsmill, Va. Renovation project.

This is the highest award Anheuser-Busch presents to its contractors, honoring a minimum of 20,000 hours without a recordable incident.

Our work renovating the 444 Kingsmill condominiums involved:

  • Replacing indoor air units for each condominium
  • Installing all new ductwork, grills and control wiring for each unit

Our Community Involvement

The communities where we work and do business have been good to us. For many reasons, we pledge to do our part contributing to the overall vitality of these wonderful Mid-Atlantic communities.
